Winter Hikes
During the Winter Season we have two hikes on offer: Woodcarvers and Engstligen Falls. You can do these hikes on your own with the appropriate maps or for groups we can provide a hiking guide (free of charge).
Hike along the Adelboden Valley to the traditional woodcarvers. This walk takes you down the open end of the valley along the side of the range with lovely views of the town and Our Chalet. At the woodcarvers you can purchase hand carved gifts and watch a demonstration. Afterwards you can visit the neighbouring Cafe Blatti to sample some delightful Swiss cakes and Hot Chocolate. From the woodcarvers you can return to Our Chalet directly or via Adelboden town. Hiking Map: Adelboden 1:25,000 available at Our Chalet Shop.
The sedonc highest falls in Switzerland await you at the end of our valley. This picturesque walk takes you along the Adelboden valley to its termination point, along the way you will see the amazing semi-frozen waters in the river and the Chuenisbärgli and Lohner mountain range. At the falls you can have a picnic or Snow BBQ in the picnic area and then catch a gondola up the Alp (CHF 15 return with an Our Chalet Guest Card). At the Alp you can go skiing, snow tubing, dog sledding or enjoy a lunch at one of the many restaurants. Hiking Map: Adelboden 1:25,000 available at Our Chalet Shop.
