Our Chalet Thinking Day

Our Chalet was blessed with a gorgeous sunny day in the Swiss Alps to help celebrate Thinking Day!

We started the day with a fundraising BBQ attended by all of our guests and many staff. We held the event at Berglager gondola station in the forest right next to all of the skiing action. 

Our guests took a break from their day of skiing to enjoy being together and consume a lovely lunch! Our group of people from Denmark, UK, Australia and Canada enjoyed the lunch and the investiture of our Chef and one of our guests. Read more... 

Overall we had a lovely lunch which was a great start to Our Chalet’s Thinking Day!

Our evening focussed on the 2008 theme of "Thinking about Water". As Our Chalet is in a catchment zone in the Swiss Alps this is a very important theme for us! We started with a discussion on the importance of water before everyone calculated their own personal water usage. We then talked about ways to reduce our water wastage. Following this guests had the chance to make three environmentally friendly bath products: vanilla lip gloss, lavendar bath crystals and orange bath bombs!

To close the evening we sang the Our Chalet and Thinking Day songs around a candlelit trefoil at our flag pole. To join in the fun of next years Thinking Day at Our Chalet reserve your place now!
